These posters are working genres in my topic because it is one way to reach out to people on campus that I do not know to get them to either donate to my fundraising page or start their own. It provides the websites for them to do either of these. The poster has bold lettering to grab attention and the bright colors in the back make it stick out among others. I placed these posters at multiple locations around campus, like my dorm hall, the notice board near Dirac, and outside of Strozier library.

LETTER

The letter I created is another way to fundraise, but in a more personal way. I sent it to my friends and family, who I can personally reach out to in order to ask for donations. I included some background of what Dance Marathon is and some personal information about our team's miracle kid and my fundraising goal. This will help them to see my involvement in it and hopefully the effect it has on me and the children their money is going towards.

In this final genre, I am able to reach an audience of not only my family and friends or an audience of fellow students and teachers on campus, but anyone who listens to or comes across my podcast on soundcloud. The podcast gives a lot of information about how Dance Marathon was started and how it affects the community, along with many fundraising statistics. It also dives into how Dance Marathon is different at FSU specifically. This podcast will hopefully bring more awareness to the cause of DM.
